The resurrected sun

12/06/26 The cycle of change

The shortest day is nearly here. Mythologically, this was a time of death. Death of this sun cycle. The shortest day isn’t one day, but almost three. Beginning at sundown, the sun lays still in the sky, rising & falling at the same time. We then celebrated longer days as a resurrection.

The northern and southern hemispheres are both simultaneously moving into cycles of change. These are principles of hermeticism, where each half experiences opposites of one another, until we’re balanced at the equinox.

The Egyptians studied the sun as we note a calendar. Using architecture to show what time of the year it was, sun worship is literally built into the minds of the ancient inhabitants. Columns and archways acted as cycle-keepers.

Many of the Egyptian ways and mythological stories ended up making it to the west, but the direct linkage to the sun has been lost in time. Studying both ancient Egyptian text and western traditions, there are remarkable similarities between the beliefs of the two cultures, separated by thousands of years.

Sol Journey

11/06 Magnetise the light

Honouring the sun and cycles, many of Egypt’s creation stories involving Osiris, Isis (brother & Sister, husband & wife) and Horus (Son & Sun), tell the tale of the sun.

Honouring the sol journey, brought that light energy within. If we took all the space out from between the atoms, materially, the sun sits atop up. In relation to the size of the Universe, we have a very close relationship to the sun.

In the same way that a magnet works, by thinking about something, you draw attention to it. By drawing attention to it, what you are thinking gets attracted. If you think of the sun, you gain more nourishment from the sun. If we don’t think about something, we don’t attract it. This also works in the negative. That’s why it’s so important to have a light mood. An easy way to do this is by thinking about the sun just a few times a day. Try to bask in a few moments of sunlight as you do this exercise.

Keep in mind that only the sun and stars produce light. The planets and moon only shine under the reflection of the sun. A mirror so to speak. Avoid the mirrors for those that don’t need one.

Messaging from the Gods

Dream of meeting Gods

Believing the Gods were sending them direct messages, the Egyptians put a lot of importance on dreams. Believing we were more than matter, and holding internal forces within (Ba and Ka), these imprints of you, were able to venture about at night.

In an astral plane, outside of our physical dimension, the Egyptians believed was the place to commune with other spirits. This landing zone was also a common ground where even higher dimensions can meet. Because it is not a physical place, for energy to enter, it does not need to solidify.  This landing zone was the place you talked to ‘Gods’.

A legend spanning millennia is the story of Thuthmose IV famous dream. He started the national restoration of the Sphinx, after claiming he was directly told to by the Gods to do it during slumber.  This is talked about in detail, with a plaque between the Sphinx paws sharing the details of his famous dream.

If and when you remember your dreams. Ask yourself, what could this be telling me? Were you in a place of authority, or victimhood? Was it a happy experience, or did you escape a situation? By simply thinking about your experience, and drawing attention to it, it will become easier to interpret.

IMPORTANT:  Tell yourself you dream every night, and that you remember your dreams. You’ll be astounded at how helpful using the word is, at improving areas of your life.

The Blueprint for Solomons Temple

It's in the essence

All ancient cultures and religions in the vicinity of Lebanon honoured their cedars. Their strong trees were valuable currency. The tree wasn’t just for wood, but for essence.

Essential oils were liquid gold. Revered by the Egyptians as Gods gift, and eventually banned by the Catholic church, these pure scents were used in rituals to connect with God. Solomons temple wasn’t just a blueprint for a physical building, but a recipe of oils to commune with the divine.

Oils need to be introduced slowly. The carrier oil mentioned in Kings is Olive oil. This oil is fine, but ensure it is of the finest quality.  Do some research yourself, but my favourite is rosehip. This carrier oil  also doubles as mild natural UV protection. You do not need to use a lot of essential oil to receive the benefit. Start with a 1 drop essential oil to 100 of carrier oil. IE - just a few drops in a bottle of carrier oil. Eventually work your way up to 10%.

The essential oils listed are a good foundation.  When it mentions flowers, you should decide upon which are most beneficial to you, whether that be for the health benefits, or the warming feeling you get from wearing the scent.  I like the smell of ylang ylang and lavender.  Two good starter essential oils.

It is a costly exercise getting set up, but oils last a very long time.  Years!  Please ensure you are shopping with the planet in mind.  Shop local, from a small family owned company.  If possible buy organic.  The effort you put in to make a better World will help to make your World better.

I no longer buy any beauty products, and make them all at home using oils.  My skin and body is healthier for it, my soul appreciates the introduction of nature inside my body, which soothes my mind.  A good practice all round.

By bringing the essence of nature within, you held that piece of nature in your heart. The reason the cedar was so revered was that it grew strong, it grew tall, and grew towards the sun.

Meditation Sounds

Silence is key

Meditation is a key exercise for developing a connection to source.  It does not require anything other than you, & natural sound.

Seeking meditation music & meditation tapes become distractions to the goal, which is finding a calm & gentle space with spirit. If you live in a location where noises are disruptive, try to eliminate the sound with white noise, like a physical fan, or white noise maker.  This is more effective than drowning outside noises with chanting & music.

The Gospel of Thomas, one of the banned books of the Bible tells us to look within. That is one of the key pieces of advice for communing with your team. With silence, you can listen to your own heart & the sound of your breath.

Becoming part of one, requires becoming one with you.

Put some soul in it

Walk away your woes

There are many tricks the Egyptians used to take power over issues or concerns they were facing. Many of these tricks are easy, and can be done today.

To take command of a problem they did this by writing what they needed to take command of on the bottom of their shoes, and walking over them. Aligning thought with action, makes the action more powerful, thus increasing its ability to work.

Try this today. What are you trying to overcome? A health concern? Additional weight? A dominant aggressor? Either just write the term you are overcoming, for example fat, cancer, ‘name of aggressor’, OR use terms that puts your issue in the past. Dissolved fat, dead virus, removed bacteria.

Think about what you want to remove from your life. Use a little bit of magic and put your own spin on the task. For example, try using a pen and colours you don’t like.  Re-write your words daily, and think about how powerful the task you are doing will be.

We are powerful beings who hold so much ability to manifest. We must reawaken our senses and take command over our lives again.

Overcoming Trauma

Break the cycle of trauma for better health

Illness isn’t just a random thing that happens, but a message from the Universe. The message can be as simple as needing to take better care of yourself through better quality food, and increasing exercise. Occasionally the messages are harder to interpret and more difficult to get to the bottom of.

We all hold within us trauma.  It's how we digest it that matters. How we manage trauma in our lives, mimics the way we are able to deal with illness. If you hold onto stress and struggles, this is the trauma living within your system causing physical manifestations through sickness. The best way to avoid illness, is to ensure you are of sound mind emotionally.

Trauma can put us in places we don’t know how to escape. Trauma can be anything from losing a loved one through death or conflict, losing a job or losing a house. Typically, it comes from the loss of something we held near and dear. This is why the Buddhists teach the importance of not clinging to worldly attachments. By mastering this art, you no longer suffer from the trauma of loss. This is easy to say, and  difficult to master.

Relieving ourselves of trauma begins with understanding what happened. Assess what happened with all emotion removed. Break down your experience into tiny digestible portions. Forgive yourself first and foremost for feeling the way you do. Lessons come in all shapes and sizes. The second phase is to work the trauma out of your cells. Decide the best way for you, because we are all unique, and YOU hold your own type of magic within.

Some ideas include:

Imagining your trauma away.

Writing your traumas and burning them.

Making a craft that represents your trauma and destroy it.

Physically destroying something that represents your trauma is a powerful exercise you should try today. Sometimes things need to break, to be put back together again properly.

Tri to become one

Give rhythm a wave

Universal forces are like radio waves. We live in them. Interwoven within these forces are hidden principles. There needs to be a down, for there to be an up. Without the down, we have no up, therefore there is no wave. No wave means it doesn’t exist.  This is a key force in hermeticism.  The wisdom given to us through the God Thoth.

Looking at Osiris, if there is a pull (crook), then there must be a push (flail). This is the principle of earth. The same is true of:

Emotions - love and hate,

Life – birth and death,

Day – light and dark,

Earth – wet and dry.

The list is endless. This is the Hermetic wave principle, also known as rhythm.

For up and down to be, that means there must be a middle. This is where we find the one that creates the triad. Inside ONE sits all POTENTIAL.

Let love feed you

The finest fuel

If you were what you ate, what would you be? The ancients considered fresh produce gifts from the Gods. Because foods were mostly seasonal, we appreciated the harvest.

Our personal relationship with food, and gratitude for its nourishment, has fractured our link to Earth. The love and appreciation for the growth cycle nourished our body energetically, as much as the minerals and vitamins from the food itself.

Try planting a seed to watch your nourishment grow. Make your love feed you.

Many of the foods we consume today work against us in two ways:

Physically, they’re often full of chemicals. These can be used during the growth phase to promote speed of production, or kill bugs, or during the processing phase to improve shelf-life and increase longevity.

Energetically, the foods we eat today are often low vibration. Many of our foods come from the result of something being caged and held against its will. Then forced to constantly produce. We need to break the cycle of exploitation for nourishment.

We also eat and drink foods with names that evoke negative connotations. For example, Monster, Death Liquid, Red Bull just to name a few.

Change doesn’t need to happen quickly. One small difference here and there can start to make a world of difference in your daily life. Good health starts at home.
